Why have this one checkout lady if she flat out refuses to check people out with more than 1 item? She was exceptionally rude. Everyone else was great!
This place is way too expensive now. I use to shop here often when it was cheap. If I want to pay retail I will stay at my house and buy it delivered straight to my door with a return policy/warranty. Many things are priced above retail in this store. But occasionally I may find something good.
Horrible! I was a long time customer and I refuse to ever return. When I went to browse the “high priced” items, this “manager” started very loudly vocalizing that some “prince pictures” were missing, and that someone must have them in their cart! So what does he do but immediately come look into my cart.. mind you i had just walked over there. Then after about 5 minutes of his freak out over them being “stolen” he comes to find out from another employee that they were SOLD HOURS AGO. When I go to check out, I did not do so in a rush… I individually placed every item in my cart onto the counter, scanned each item, entered my phone number to my account, used a coupon from donating items, PAID for all my items, waited for my receipt to print and THEN walked out the door. I step outside and IMMEDIATELY the security guard comes to ask if I have my receipt. The guard was at least respectful by ASKING. I had just thrown it in the trash outside the door so I gestured to it and before I could reach for it the “manager” guy rushes out to get in my face and tell me “I didn’t see you pay!”… well get your damn eyes checked because it’s on your damn security cameras!!! I absolutely did!!!! I pulled my receipt out to show him and he says “oh thank you”…… I should have immediately returned everything, i can’t believe my money went to this man’s paycheck after that horrific interaction. He was dead set on me being a thief because i happened to be standing there when he decided those pictures were “stolen”… what an absolutely horrific experience. I won’t be donating or shopping here ever again.
Average thrift experience- a handful of good items with piles of trash. Love finding thrift store price tags that are higher than the MSRP/store tag from the original store. A salesperson at the counter was condescendingly trying to pressure a customer to buy a device that the customer couldn't test without batteries. The second set of exit doors has been inoperable for over a year and general care/cleanliness of the building is severely lacking. Considering that Savers "buys" all its goods for a donation of $0.05/lb for clothing and $0.002-0.03/lb for most other goods, then flips a shirt with missing buttons for $15 that they could take care of their facility.
I must admit, until recently I haven't been going to Savers. They closed down some stores in my area a few years ago, namely the old Bloomington location. That combined with the fact that their prices were a little bit too high, especially the books. So when I decided to try the Savers one Thursday I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative of the 25% off storewide on every Thursdays. I even earned enough points for another 20% off my next purchase.
I have to admit, Savers has won me back as a loyal customer. I've already visited the Apple valley location and am looking forward to visiting the new west St Paul store. Just wish that they would bring back the dressing rooms like some of their competitive thrift stores where I currently buy my clothes. Until they do, Savers won't get my clothing budget dollars.
The parking lot is kept up. Seen a crew of asphalt guys working on the lot this morning filling holes.
Keep up the good work and keep those prices reasonable and I'll keep spending crazy money 💰 at your stores.
Great lots of stuff cheap
Without question... The BEST thrift store around, consistantly. I have to assume is because the people in Woodbury donate everything I seem to want 🤗
It wouldn't be fair if I didn't add... This Savers did lose one star(close to perfect but not....) because it can be kind of expensive (for a thrift store). Although, if it has a $25 price tag for a pair of shoes.. I promise you, it's because they're probably twice wore shoes tht sell new for $200. The pricing frustrates me sometimes, but in the end, I understand why... and believe me, they do they're homework.
Plus, the employees are pretty great too. The last time I was there, my 8 yr old some wanted 2 little toys (that would have been it the free box if it were a garage sale). Neither of them had prices on them. At check out I asked the man in charge what I should do..and he handed them to my son and told him, "Merry Christmas". I just had to add that last experience, because they deserve to be recognized for simply being kind. I'll look to see if I have any pics of merchandise I've bought from there.. no promises tho. Thnks for reading this all the way through, good for u!
Very rude employees. I will NEVER donate or shop here again. When attempting to donate a large surplus of items from a church event, the obnoxious associate rudely told me “lady, you can’t park there, that’s not how it works”. After explaining to him that I’ve not donated here before he replied with… well there’s a car over here, pointing to a gentlemen entering his vehicle. Not only was he incredibly unhelpful in communicating the flow for donations, he was rude and condescending. I recommend driving 2 minutes down the road to the goodwill at 9885 Hudson Pl, Woodbury.
